On the first day of the project, each partner has presented its country and institution and after that we have voted the project logo. The winning one was created by a Turkish student, from Şehit Mehmet Şengül Science High School.

Within the scope of learning about the waste management system in Latvia, which was determined as the first theme, the students participated in workshops to create new methods for recycling of waste materials. The students participated in the project and then made study visits to the related enterprises. They will turn their knowledge and experience into design projects to contribute to the solution of existing environmental problems.

The students had the opportunity to take a tour in the woods near the recycling plant and to get acquainted with its vegetation and animal species.

The greatest impression made on students had an workshop facilitated a woman that thought them how to use left over tailoring and clothing scraps from stores and transform the unnecessary things into new items or clothes to wear. The one-week program also included a visit to the University of Rezekne, a tour in some of its 17 specialized laboratories, in two students have the opportunity to conduct experiments.
